Services Provided 

Introduction to Firearms & Learn to Shoot: This class is designed to take complete beginners—from little or no experience—to a level where they can safely handle and fire a firearm with confidence. $49

  • Safety:

  • Proper storage practices (especially important for homes with children) & How to check if a firearm is loaded or unloaded
  • Firearm Basics: Types of firearms (pistols, rifles, shotguns)
  • Key parts and their functions Ammunition basics (what it is, how it works, safe handling)
  • Differences between common calibers
  • Shooting Fundamentals:
  • Proper grip and stance
  • Sight alignment and sight picture
  • Trigger control Breathing and follow-through
  • Range Etiquette & Commands:
  • Understanding range commands
  • Safe movement on the firing line
  • Communication with instructors and other shooters

An LTC (License to Carry) Course is a comprehensive class that prepares students to legally carry a handgun while emphasizing safety, responsibility, and the legal realities of firearm ownership. $99 or $79 (if you have previously attended the Introduction to Firearms & Learn to Shoot course.

Instructor Bios 

I am Todd Bales, owner and instructor at Shooter’s Ed of Texas. I am passionate about firearm safety and responsible ownership. I am a certified LTC (License to Carry) instructor dedicated to promoting responsible gun ownership through practical, safety-focused education. With a clear, approachable teaching style, I work with individuals and families to build confidence, knowledge, and respect for firearms.

I specialize in training programs for both parents and children, emphasizing safe handling, secure storage, and age-appropriate education. I believe that responsible ownership starts at home, and I will help equip families with the tools and understanding they need to make informed decisions and foster a culture of safety.

Whether I am guiding first-time gun owners or reinforcing best practices for experienced individuals, my instruction is rooted in responsibility, awareness, and real-world application.
